Organization Mission Statement
The mission statement of the Psychology Club is to create an organization where psychology interested students can build a sense of belonging, raise mental health awareness, and develop professionally on campus and beyond. The Psychology Club hopes to achieve this by planning and hosting events and activities. The goal is to create a brand that embodies the organization’s mission statement.

Prospective Member Analysis
Age/Job/Location:
18-24 years old. Members are often psychology majors or at least have an interest in psychology/mental health. Users reside on Long Island, NY.
Needs & Goals:
They strive to feel a sense of belonging, raise mental health awareness, and develop professionally.
About:
Younger people tend to respond better to an engaging, inviting aesthetic.
Personality:
It can be assumed that the typical member enjoys being involved with campus life and is invested in understanding how others think. Based on this assumption we can assign the typical member the following personality breakdown:
Openness– high

Part 2: Design
Colors:
Green is the color of mental health awareness and is associated with growth, healing and balance.
Font:
Psychology club aims to be inviting to all LIU students. We want to give the impression that the organization is a fun, friendly and inviting organization that helps students decompress after a long week of classes. A font that has a more fluid and organic shape is better for this goal.
Logo:
The primary icon of the logo is a double image. Firstly it is a neuron, to represent the organization’s focus on the human mind. Secondly, it is a flower, to signify growth and health. The idea of the central icon is to represent the idea of mental health, the major focus of the organization.

Conclusion
The LIU Psychology Association has been great to work with and building this brand to visually represent its identity as an inviting, mental health oriented organization has been an Incredible experience.
